Packer/Stock Clerk Position - Full Time

As one of New York City's most celebrated fine food stores, Citarella offers carefully selected gourmet products, from our full line of products that New Yorkers have consistently enjoyed.

For the packing/stock position, all applicants should have the following qualifications:

• Receive and count stock items, and record data.

• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms

• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.

• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in stock room.

• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.

• Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, or storage yard workers.

Must be able to gain product knowledge, provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service and maintain the cleanliness of their department.
